Sunwah Innovations is thrilled to be a SEA Partner of the City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) at the HK Tech 300 Southeast Asia Start-up Competition Award Ceremony, organized on 27 June 2024 in Hong Kong.
This event celebrated the Top 10 Startups from 5 Southeast Asian countries and Hong Kong, each awarded Angel Fund investments of up to HK$1 million from HK Tech 300, including Vietnamese startup Smartos, nominated by Sunwah Innovations.

Distinguished guests included Professor Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of Hong Kong; Mr. Lester Garson Huang, Chairman of the CityUHK Council; and Professor Freddy Boey, CityUHK President. Also in attendance were Mr. Chen Yulin, Director of Educational, Scientific, and Technological Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, and Mr. Victor Hui, Acting Consul General of Singapore in the HKSAR.

Launched in 2023, HK Tech 300 SEA supports Southeast Asian startups in expanding to Hong Kong and mainland China, helps Hong Kong startups explore SEA opportunities, and attracts overseas tech talent to the city.
After the Award Ceremony, Ms. Thuy Ho, External Relations Director of Sunwah Group in Ho Chi Minh City and Partnership Manager of Sunwah Innovations, attended a Sharing Session with over 50 investors and business representatives from mainland China to learn about 5 CityUHK projects funded by the Research, Academic and Industry Sectors One-plus Scheme (RAISe+).

Launched in October 2023, RAISe+ is an initiative by the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission to foster collaboration among the government, industries, universities, and research sectors, aiming to transform and commercialize R&D outcomes with a funding allocation of HKD 10 billion on a matching basis.
