On 5 October 2023, Mr. Jesse Choi, Regional Director of Sunwah Group (ASEAN), and Ms. Thuy Ho, Partnership Manager of Sunwah Innovations, joined the Fly Asia City Leader Summit 2023 under the invitation of the Busan Metropolitan City as the City Leaders representing Ho Chi Minh City startup ecosystem. Fly Asia was held for the first time in 2022. The theme of the 2nd edition this year is “Connecting Asia, Fly to the world – From cities to startups”. The Summit invited leaders from 9 cities across Asia, including Fukuoka and Osaka (Japan), Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shanghai (China), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Jakarta (Indonesia), Singapore and the host Busan. City leaders signed a Joint Declaration to promote cooperation among cities for a thriving economy of Asia.
The panel discussion at VC Forum
On 6 October 2023 morning, Mr. Jesse Choi spoke at the VC Forum in a panel discussion with VCs from Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, and South Korea. He shared about Vietnam’s economic outlook and vibrant startup landscape, how Sunwah Innovations has been facilitating startup exchanges across Asia and advice for Busan’s startup interested in going to the Vietnam market.
