The Delegation of Da Nang City’s Department of Science and Technology visited and worked with Sunwah Group in Shenzhen, China, and Ho Chi Minh City

As part of the business trip to China, on 13 June 2024, the delegation from Da Nang City’s Department of Science and Technology led by Mr. Duong Hoang Van Ban, Deputy Director, visited and worked with representatives of Sunwah Group in Shenzhen, China.

During the meeting, Ms. Jade Zhang, Director of External Relations of Sunwah Group, shared Sunwah’s business areas and achievements over nearly 70 years. She highlighted the necessity for diversification of business portfolio and investment in technology to maintain competitive edge and sustainable development. Representatives from Sunwah Innovation Center in Shenzhen also shared the group’s innovation activities, support, and investment in startups in China and Vietnam.

After their trip to China, the delegation visited the Sunwah Innovation Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The delegation included Mr. Vo Duc Anh, Deputy Director of Da Nang Innovative Startup Support Center; Mr. Nguyen Van Quoc, Director of Center for Information and Intelligent Monitoring, Operation; and Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, Program Manager of SWISS Entrepreneurship Program Viet Nam at Da Nang. Sunwah representatives included Mr. Jesse Choi, General Director of Sunwah Group in Southeast Asia and CEO of Sunwah Innovations; and Ms. Ho Thanh Thuy, Director of External Relations of Sunwah Group in Ho Chi Minh City and Manager of Partnership Development of Sunwah Innovations.

The two sides discussed the potential for future collaboration, especially in developing research, technology development, and innovation centers in Da Nang. Sunwah Group will become a “Strategic Partner” of Da Nang in the innovation field, leveraging Sunwah’s extensive partner network to connect Da Nang’s ecosystem with Hong Kong and mainland China. Additionally, Sunwah will actively promote cooperation and facilitate connections, supporting high-tech foreign enterprises and startups to invest and expand their business to Da Nang. The Group will also support Da Nang startups seeking to expand their business and establish offices at Sunwah’s centers in Ho Chi Minh City and China.
