Semi-final of the “Social Innovation Launch 2021” (for South Vietnam region)

Sunwah Innovations would like to congratulate the success of the Semi-final of the “Social Innovation Launch 2021” contest (SiL) – Southern region of Vietnam. The Semi-final was successfully organized on 29th August 2021 with the participation of 3 experienced judges, 6 talented teams and many guests joining virtually.

As the Sponsor of SiL 2021, Ms Katie Nguyen – Deputy Director of Sunwah Innovations, expressed her delight in supporting the Contest and also sent her best wishes to all 6 teams. Another representative of Sunwah Innovations, Ms Ho Thanh Thuy – Partnership Manager, also join the Semi-final as one member of the judge panel.

During the Semi-final, all 6 projects were very well-organized and impressive. Even though their presentations have both pros and cons, the teams have gained a lot of experience from the detailed feedbacks of the judges.

The results of the Semi-final will be announced in mid-September. The prizes of the semi-final include one first prize and one second prize as well as the chance to work at the collaborative and inspiring Sunwah Innovation Center Ho Chi Minh City and participate in many interesting activities organized by Sunwah Innovations. The 2 winners will be sponsored to participate in the Finale in Hanoi and have the chance to win many other prizes from the other sponsors of SiL 2021. The other teams will receive English scholarships.

After nearly 5 months since launching “Social Innovation Launch 2021”, the Contest has completed its mission which is to lead and serve as a launchpad for social initiatives and projects following the theme “Digital Transformation – Technology with Social Impact” and goal number 9 “Building solid infrastructure, promoting industrial open and sustainable industrialization, encouraging innovation” of the United Nations. Through individual and group training sessions and bootcamps, the participants have gained a lot of useful skills and knowledge. In the coming time, the Final will be organized in October so let’s look forward to seeing the winners of Northern and Southern Vietnam competing together!
