On 6 May 2024, as part of the Global Innovation Alliance Acceleration Program, Sunwah Innovations was pleased to welcome a group of 30 entrepreneurs from Singaporean tech startups specializing in logistics, green transportation, renewable energy, smart cities, and sustainable agriculture. The delegation visited Sunwah Innovation Center Ho Chi Minh City and briefed about Sunwah Group’s activities in Vietnam, as well as explored investment and collaboration opportunities in the Vietnamese market.
At the event, Mr. Jesse Choi, Regional Director of Sunwah Group in ASEAN and CEO of Sunwah Innovations, shared insights into the Group’s global and Southeast Asian businesses. He mentioned that over the years, Sunwah Group in general and Sunwah Innovations, in particular, have leveraged their strengths and global partner networks to actively support the startup community in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and China.

Mr. Louis Nguyen, CEO of Sunwah Kingsway Vietnam, delivered a presentation on high-growth industries in Vietnam. He also elaborated on the investment taste and support of Sunwah Kingsway Vietnam, focusing on technology and sustainable agriculture.

After that, the startups presented their solutions and development plans in Vietnam. Mr. Jesse Choi later discussed the differences between the Vietnamese and Singaporean markets, including the challenges and potential opportunities, which require the startups to adjust their business models and approaches when entering the Vietnamese market.

Global Innovation Alliance, initiated by Enterprise Singapore, is a network of Singapore and overseas partners in technology and innovation. This year, a delegation of 30 representatives from 12 startups participating in the Global Innovation Alliance Acceleration Programme, jointly organized by Quest Ventures, explore the local market potential in Ho Chi Minh City. After the session, the delegation highly appreciated the valuable insights shared by Sunwah Group and expressed hope to establish collaboration to explore and expand their business activities to Vietnam.
