On 29 February 2024, Sunwah Innovations warmly received the delegation from La French Tech Vietnam at the Sunwah Innovation Center HCMC, marking the formal onboarding of La French Tech Vietnam as the new Partner of Sunwah International Innovation Platform (SWIIP).
During the visit, Mr. Jesse Choi, Regional Director of Sunwah Group in ASEAN and CEO of Sunwah Innovations and Ms. Hanh Mai, President of La French Tech Vietnam, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to facilitate innovation exchanges between Vietnam and France, and to bolster regional innovation partnerships. In 2024, Sunwah Innovations and La French Tech Vietnam will collaborate to kick start the projects aimed at nurturing the entrepreneurship of the young generation in Vietnam and promoting diversity and gender equality in innovation, focusing on EdTech, GreenTech, and AI.
SWIIP is an initiative by Sunwah Innovations to create a global network of leading universities, VCs, corporations and support organizations, aimed at leveraging the unique resources, business intelligence, and capabilities of each entity towards cross-border innovation and entrepreneurship development. More than 40 Partners coming from various countries and cities such as Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam and now France have joined the Platform so far.
La French Tech is an initiative under the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty. It is a non-profit organization with the aim of supporting French startups and the French tech ecosystem in different countries. Currently, La French Tech has 31 communities throughout France and 67 communities abroad, including Vietnam.
